Anchor Section trip - Sunday 22nd May

Be round at Woodside Primary for 9.30/9.45 am the bus is leaving at 10 am.
Please remember to bring along the trip consent forms.

You should be up at Blair Drummond and in the park for 11.30, they usually do the drive through safari bit first before stopping at the main car/bus park and picnic area to eat your packed lunch.

There are loads of things to see and do up there.

Just for a laugh , look at Calum and Robbie in 2006 -  Junior trip to Blair Drummond.

The Bus will be leaving around 3.30 and you should be back at Woodside Primary between 4.45 & 5 pm.

Hope the weather stays dry for the Anchor Section, it does not matter for the Juniors, they are getting wet anyway!

Junior Section trip - Sunday 22nd May

This Sunday 9.45 at the Church car park we leave at 10 am.
Please remember to bring aslong your completed trip consent form.

We are going to Brancumhall Golf Development Centre in East Kilbride to play 9 holes on the mini golf course up there.
It will be a "Texas Scrabble" - 3 teams of 4 players. Everybody in the team hits a shot off the tee. The team pick the best drive and they all then take the next shot from there, and so on until you hole out the ball in as few shots as possible for the team.
It usually produces some really good scores, so we are looking for the winning team to be around 30 or lower.

Then we will go round to James Hamilton park where we will eat our packed lunch before doing a 2 hour raft building activity.
Remember to to bring old trainers or aqua shoes, swimming trunks, a towel, plus a £1 coin for the lockers.
Hopefully back down at the Church for 4 pm.

We have found them. And the "Old" photo

(Click on the picture to open it in a different window or to save it )

We now been in contact with the lost team of 1980. They are well and living across the length and breadth of the UK and abroad.
They are all willing to take on the 2011 team, although some are looking for concessions to be made.
I will make a booking for a hall very soon and will let everybody know the time and venue.

This is going to be a fundraiser for two charities -The exact details of which I have not fully worked out yet. Probably - Marie Curie and Macmillan, but this all needs to be confirmed.
We will need prizes and medals, raffle gifts, general fundraisers, sponsorship, etc?
Maybe even a Challenge Cup for the winners. Any thoughts/offers?
