This was held on Friday (27th January) over in Larkhall St Machan's Church.
Four of the 1st & 2nd Year Company Section Boys form a "squad" who are taken through a short drill routine by one of the NCO's.
Keir, Matthew, Gregor L & Gregor S were the "squad" and Isaac was the NCO in charge.
There are two competitions run on the night, a drill competition for the best drilled squad - who do as they are told best and also a best NCO competition - which NCO performs the best and gives the best commands to their squad.
I received the results this morning by email.
We were 2nd in the main drill competition and also 2nd in the NCO competition. So well done to all 5 Boys who took part in the elementary drill.
Needless to say 1st Bothwell won both competitions, but nobody expects anything different. Certainly we did not expect to be in between 1st Bothwell and 2nd Blantyre, this makes a nice wee change.
A blog site set up as part of the Company Section Award programme in 2008/2009 Session. The idea behind it is to allow postings to be put on the site and accessed by Company members. We hope to develop this site in order to help with the flow of information to Boys and Parents about activities in the 5th Hamilton BB Company.

Battalion Masterteam Winners again
On Monday (23rd January) Alex and Robbie McLean along with Isaac Carswell represented the Company at the Company Section Battalion Masterteam Competition.
For a second year in a row they won it quite convincingly.
They had very high scoring rounds in General Knowledge (Joker), Bible and BB Knowledge.
They beat 21 teams from 12 other Companies. Loads of people trying hard to beat them, but they just could not keep up with them.
Well done to the 3 Boys, and this year the trophy can stay at the Manse.
